since i was up so early, thought i'd go to the market and do some scoping around the neighborhood. i also needed to find a boulangerie/patisserie. which way? ok, follow the old ladies with market baskets and/or trolleys. bingo! ok, buy a baguette. then follow another old lady to another shop. buy another baguette (hoping the first isn't too obvious under coat). continue until have found four boulangeries to choose from. ok, which one has the best baguette ancienne? hmmm. have taste testing. mmm.
